The Home Tour – Nelson Home

So you heard we were busy? You didn’t? Well check out yesterday’s blog here.

Here is one of the beautiful homes I got to work on for our good friends. They first came to me in the middle of the construction process – plan was selected, walls were up, nothing structural was moving. I helped them select paint colors, flooring, tile, and countertops throughout the house. While I was at the house for the first consultation, we looked at some of the details on the exterior – what color should the windows be? siding color to coordinate? what color for the garage doors? I also did some custom tile pattern design for their master bath walk in shower and the other two baths in the home.

One of the challenges I loved about this home was that they didn’t have an extravagant budget. They are a young family, just like mine, who has to be smart and selective with their money choices. One of the biggest compliments I got was when the homeowner told me that hiring me was one of the best choices they made in their building process. She said I saved her time, headaches and in the end helped make her home feel like home, a beautiful home at that.

Below are pictures of the home right after the Vikingland Builder’s Association Home Tour – 2014. For accessories like this and more, visit Ravnik & Co. in beautiful Downtown Alexandria, MN. And for more pictures of this home and others, check out our Houzz site. The Central Construction, Inc. was the contractor – Jeremy Fuller and Lance Frekking.
